According to the Public Relations and International Affairs Office of Tabriz Islamic Art University, the ceremony took place on Friday, September 18, with the support of the Provincial Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the hosting by the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning.

The event was attended by the Governor of East Azerbaijan, the Director-General of the Provincial Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance, members of the Iranian Parliament, as well as numerous cultural and artistic officials and intellectuals. During the ceremony, 50 leading figures in various artistic fields from the province were recognized for their achievements.

A highlight of the event was the appreciation of Professor Rahim Charkhi, one of the university’s eminent instructors, recognized as a distinguished figure in Persian miniature painting. In addition, five invited professors and instructors from Tabriz Islamic Art University, who have earned notable reputations in their respective artistic disciplines, were also honored.

This ceremony provided another valuable opportunity to celebrate the cultural and artistic assets of East Azerbaijan—individuals whose dedication, creativity, and sacrifice have kept the artistic identity of the region alive.
